Yvonne McCully Williams

Yvonne McCully, born on January 25, 1942, to the late Joe W. Graham and Elzira McCully in Louisville, Mississippi. She was the eldest of five children and was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.

At an early age, Yvonne relocated to Chicago, Illinois, where she received her education at Kenwood High School, now known as Kenwood Academy High School.
During her life she formed loving unions and was blessed with four sons. Motherhood was one of her greatest joys, and she spoke of the precious memories she created while raising her boys.

Yvonne later met Johnny Williams, and the two were united in marriage in July 2002. Their union was filled with companionship, care, and shared faith. In September 2009, they relocated to Jackson, Mississippi, where they continued building life together.

She had a passion for crafting and gardening and truly had a green thumb; she could make anything grow. She also enjoyed baking and dearly loved her pets. Yvonne was a woman of faith, and in January 2026 her family relocated her to Loves Park, Illinois, where she resided until the Lord called her home.

On Saturday, February 7, 2026, surrounded by her family, Yvonne peacefully transitioned from this life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Williams; her mother, Elzira “Madea” Easterling; and her sister Alice Patricia Foster; and her brothers, Tommy Tyrone and Bruno.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her four sons: Eardis Morehead Jr. of Jackson, MS, Cedric Morehead of Blue Island, IL, Brian Morehead of Elkhart, IN, Wendell (Nikki) Carlisle of Loves Park, IL. along with her special friend Earnestine Jamison, her devoted caretaker, and special friend Mary Jenkins; as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family members, loved ones and friends.
