William Anderson

William W. Anderson, 83, of Rockford, passed away on January 12, 2022, in his home surrounded by his family. Born June 12, 1938, in Rockford; the son of Harley R. and Rachel E. (Zobal) Anderson. He graduated from Harlem High School in 1955 and went to serve our country in the US Marine Corps from 1955 to 1959. He married Barbara J. Dominguez on November 28, 1958. He worked his entire career for AT&T as a commercial installer and in data services. William was a member of the VFW, Harmony Club, and the SMSF Club. He was also a member of the St. Catherine Catholic Church in Sarona, WI. William loved to be outside, whether it was hunting, fishing, or trap shooting. He also enjoyed being on the water with his family on their pontoon. William loved his grand and great-grandchildren and spending time with them was his joy. He also loved his dogs, including Angel, Sushi, and Mylee. William is survived by his loving wife Barbara; sons Joey D. (Karen) Anderson and Ryan K. Anderson; grandchildren Sarah (Charlie) Knilans, Stacey (Kyle) LaBrant, Stephanie Anderson, Daniel Anderson, and Jessica Anderson; great-grandchildren Cooper Jo, Charles, Jr., Cecelia, and Layla; and his faithful dog Mylee.
