Wendell Webb

Wendell W. Webb, Sr., 80, of Rockford, passed away in his home, surrounded by his family, on March 18, 2023. Born January 2, 1943, in Trumann, Arkansas; son of Kelly and Helen (Whitlatch) Webb. Wendell married Joan Wolf on January 3, 1963. He worked as a supervisor for Chrysler for 32 years. He was a member of St. Edward Church and St. Rita Church. Wendell enjoyed golfing, hunting, and fishing. He loved being a grandpa and watching his grandchildren in school functions and competitions. Survivors include his loving wife Joan; children Wendell, Jr. (Denise) Webb, Randall (Renea) Webb, Daniel (Robyn) Webb, Brandon Webb, and Mary Webb; grandchildren Nicole, Cory (Bree), Olivia, Austin, Nicholas, and Emily; and sister Loys Teague. He is predeceased by his parents; 1 brother; and 2 sisters. A Memorial Mass will be at 11 AM, Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Holy Family Church, 4401 Highcrest Rd, Rockford, IL 61107 with Rev. Kaim officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Swedish American Regional Cancer Center, 3535 Bell School Rd., Rockford, IL 61114. The family is thankful for their outstanding care of Wendell.
