Virginia Marquardt

August 22, 1933 — June 9, 2024

Virginia Marquardt, 90, of Rockford, passed away on June 9, 2024, peacefully in her home. She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of Faye (Crystal Faye Carver) and Guy Butler. Virginia was employed as a purchasing agent for GC Electronics and Advanced Machine until her retirement. She enjoyed her independence and family. She was loved for her inner strength and positive attitude.

She is survived by her daughters Susan (Jeff) Cellitti, Patricia (Greg) Matranga, and Marcia (Robert Currier) Linley; Virginia had numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all. She is predeceased by her special friend Richard Moake; husband Howard Marquardt; sons James Longardner, Robert Longardner, and her brother Dick Butler.
