December 31, 1969 — October 16, 2022

Vicky L. Lindberg (Woodman) 71 left this earth on the morning of October 16, 2022, after a long, courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born in Rockford on June 14, 1951, to Harold and Dorothy Woodman. She graduated from Guilford High School in 1969 and married David C. Lindberg on March 25 th , 1972. She retired in 2012 after serving as a Para in the Special Needs Dept. at East High School for many years. She was an avid crafter and a pet lover and rescued many dogs and cats that she now is reunited with. She was also a Girl Scout leader and a Cub Scout leader and assisted in cheerleading at Lincoln Middle School and worked for many years as part of the East Booster Club including the annual Apple Fritter booth at On The Waterfront. She was also very dedicated to her family and their friends and made many sacrifices to support them. She is predeceased by her mother and father, her sister Donna and grandchildren MaKenna Johnson and Carson Licari and brother-in-law, James Lee, nephew James Lee Jr and David’s parents Marshall and Thelma Lindberg and his brother Paul. She is survived by her husband David, her sister Patricia Lee, Son Erik Lindberg (Julie), daughter’s Elyse Lindberg Licari (Ryan Licari), and Ashley Lindberg Johnson (Toby Johnson) as well as a grandson Jaxson Lindberg, granddaughters Ava Johnson and Elliana Johnson, niece Kristy Lee and her beloved dogs Violet and Lillianna and her cat Daisy. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 12pm to 2pm at City First Church on the corner of North Mulford Rd. and Springcreek in Rockford. It will be an open house with no formal program, but rather a chance for friends and family to remember her life. In lieu of flowers, donations to Paws Humane Society of Rockford can be made in her name.
