Vickie Jambor, 73 of Putnum, IL. Formerly of Hampshire, IL Passed away on July 23, 2024, in OSF St. Anthony. Vickie was born to Henry and Vivian (Keeker) Schumacher on April 22, 1951, in Elgin, IL. Vickie graduated from Dundee Community High School in 1970. She married Alvin Jambor on July 15, 1987. She was a school bus driver for more than 30 years for U-46.
She enjoyed gardening, caring for her fruit trees, bird watching, surfing Facebook and hanging out with her grandkids. She also enjoyed activities with the Lake Thunderbird Community Club.
Vickie is survived by her husband Alvin; daughters Missy (Dave) Gammill, Bindy (Lorna) Hopp; daughter-in-law Vanessa Hopp; grandchildren Summer (Nathan), Colton, and Kiera; great granddaughter Ivy Rose; brothers Dennis Schumacher and Tom (Regina) Schumacher.
Vickie is preceded in death by both of her parents Henry and Vivian Schumacher; sons John B. Hopp Jr. and Jason S. Hopp; father of her children, John B. Hopp Sr. She was met at the Gates of Heaven by her sons John B. Hopp, Jr. and Jason S. Hopp, who were taken too soon.
