Vicki JoAnn Beckman (Stanley) was born on October 1, 1961, to Gordon and Iris (Anderson) Stanley in Rockford, IL, where she lived her entire life. She passed away on Friday July 15, 2022, in her home, unexpectedly. Vicki attended Jefferson High School and at the age of 16 began working at Stockholm Inn as a hostess and shortly thereafter became one the best waitresses there for 20 years. She worked at Broadway Florist for almost 15 years as a floral planet/basket designer and delivery router. Her final job was delivering meals to the elderly in the building she resided in. Helping the elderly was a passion of hers. When Vicki was younger, she attended many, many music concerts as she had a true love of music. She also enjoyed traveling to Florida for vacations which is when her love of lighthouses started and then a small collection of them in her home as a reminder of good memories. But, of all things in her life that she enjoyed, the most pride and joy came from her only child Troy Michaelson. Vicki was a very proud mother, and she took great pride in being able to brag about him to her family and friends. Vicki was loved by many and will be sorely missed. Vicki is survived by her son, Troy Michaelson; siblings, Kurt Stanley, Lester Stanley, Heidi (Adam) Crawford, Todd (Dana) Stanley, and Traci Stanley; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Gordon and Iris Stanley; brothers, Glen and Steven Stanley; nieces, Raven Sanders and Sarah Stanley. We have decided against a traditional funeral service, but rather we will be having a celebration of life on Saturday, July 23, 2022, for family and close friends.
