Vance Randall “Butch” Eubanks, 60, of Loves Park, IL. entered the gates of Heaven at 1:32 p.m. on March 15, 2019, from Javon Bea Hospital [Mercy Health] of a massive stroke. Vance was born on January 10, 1959, in Rockford, IL. son of Kenneth “Ken” and Shirley Jo (White) Eubanks. He graduated from Illinois School for the Deaf, Class of 1978. He attended Northern Illinois University and Technical Vocational Institute, St. Paul, MN. graduated with an Associate’s Degree. He never married nor had any children, but loved children. He had such a zest for life. He loved to make people smile; He loved family; food; cats; Superheroes, especially Superman and old cartoon characters, such as Casper and Scooby-Doo. He was a member of Berean Baptist Church since June 2013 and was in the Deaf Choir. Before that, he was a member of the Christian Deaf Center, until closing. He was an employee of Bridgeway, Inc. as a janitorial associate. Formerly worked at Crusader Clinic for 18 years; and Ponderosa Steakhouse for 7 years. Survivors include: one sister, Wendy Kuehne of Loves Park, IL.; father, Ken Eubanks of Vacaville, CA.; two half-brothers, Brandon (Renee) Eubanks of Klamath Falls, OR. and Bryan Eubanks of Vacaville, CA.: three half-nieces, Sydnie Eubanks, Jenna Eubanks, and Danielle Otlin; one half-nephew, Christopher Posey. Predeceased by mother, Shirley Jo Kuehne; step-father, Darwin “Doug” Kuehne; paternal grandparents, Herman Eubanks, and Vivian (Morris) Bowers; maternal grandparents, William “David” and Lola (Brewer) White; step-grandparents, Rudolph “Rudy” and Bernice (Merrell) Kuehne. Memorial Services will be held Thursday, March 28th at 2 p.m. at Berean Baptist Church, 5626 Safford Road, Rockford, IL. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Luncheon will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family.
