Valerie Swanson

Valerie Lee Swanson, 68, of Rockford, Illinois passed away suddenly on Tuesday July 12, 2021. Valerie was born to Delores and Ronald Grove on August 1, 1952 in Rockford, Illinois. Valerie attended East High School, graduating in the class of 1971. Valerie worked for Rockford Health Systems as a certified nursing assistant for 15 years. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. ? Valerie is survived by her husband, Mark Graham; sons, Mark Swanson and Brian (Britta) Swanson; grandchildren; Magnus Swanson and Kaisa Swanson; sisters, Vicki Ziemer, Vonna Smith; brother, Vance Grove. Valerie was preceded in death by her parents, Delores and Ronald; grandmother, Leila Grove. A Celebration of Life Service for Valerie will take place on Sunday, July 18, 2021, 2:00 P.M. at Woodside Congressional Church, 2324 South Alpine Road, Rockford, Illinois, 61108.
