Urainia "Raini" Kaye (Schubbe) Gerhardt, 53, of Freeport, passed away September 12, 2025. She was born on December 25, 1971, in Elgin, IL, to Bruce and Beverly (Craft) Schubbe. Raini was the oldest of two children. She attended Dundee-Crown High School in Carpentersville and graduated in 1990. March 30, 1991, she married her husband John M. Gerhardt. She enjoyed her family, friends, reading, driving, gaming, crocheting, music, and researching her family tree.
She is survived by her husband John; sister Danielle (Brian) Russell of Loves Park; her brother-in-law, Joe (Anita) Gerhardt; sisters-in-law Peggy (George) Braddock, Mary (Lou) Guzzo; 6 nephews Frank, Shaun, Todd, Ben, Louie, Tony; 1 niece Amy; many aunts, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; 7 uncles; 2 aunts; and several cousins.
