Tresea Ann Larson, 63, of Roscoe, Illinois, fell asleep in death peacefully on June 12, 2025, at her home, after a courageous three-and-a-half-year battle with cancer, with her husband Don, sister Lisa, and sister-in-law Cindy at her side. Tresea was born on September 28, 1961, raised in Rockford, the daughter of Ernestine "Tina" and Jerry Klikno. A graduate of Jefferson High School, Tresea received her LPN license from the Rockford Area Vocational Center in 1979 and spent nearly 45 years working as a nurse at various hospitals and clinics gaining a wide range of medical care experience. In 1984 she married her husband Don and the two of them spent 10 years serving as volunteers at the headquarters of Jehovah's Witnesses at Wallkill, NY. In recent years, Tresea worked for the Cancer Center at the former Rockford Memorial Hospital where she gained invaluable knowledge in fighting the disease that would eventually take her life. Tresea loved her last job caring for the veterans at the Rockford VA Clinic.
During her journey with cancer, her determination and positive outlook made an impression on her oncologists, nurses, friends, and family. All the while, sharing her faith and hope with everyone.
Tresea is survived by her husband Don; mother Tina; sisters Lisa (Derek) and Christine (Ray); nephew Ryan; and nieces Lucy, Loren, Stella, and Ginger. She is predeceased by her father Jerry.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3 pm, Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the Kingdon Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 9511 N. Second St. Machesney Park, IL 61115.
