Thomas Patrick English, 71, beloved husband of the late Melissa, loving father of Karen (Nick) Eve English, Laura Marie Wohlgemuth, Thomas (Emily) James English; devoted grandfather of Kurt, Kody, and Skylar Wohlgemuth, Jaxson Petrakis, Elliot English, Mia Petrakis, Grace English; brother to many siblings; uncle of many nieces and nephews; a great friend to all who knew him; of Hoffman Estates, passed away on May 22, 2026. He was born on April 17, 1955, in Chicago, IL; the son of Robert F. and Evelyn S. English. He graduated from Niles West High School in 1974.

Thomas married Melissa Lindy English on July 3, 1976. He worked as an owner/operator truck driver for many years. Thomas had many passions. He loved camping and fishing with his wife and family in Door County, playing the drums and singing in his rock and blues band “Extenders”, playing poker with his buddies in the Shed, enjoying parties and fires in the backyard with friends and family, watching White Sox games, and fishing anywhere he could get a line in.
