December 31, 1969 — November 9, 2025

Thomas P. Barrick passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at age 79.  Born on February 14,1946 in Evansville, IN, the son of Robert M. and Margaret A. Barrick.  He graduated from Guilford High School in 1964.  He was a proud Vietnam Veteran, serving in the US Army's 2nd Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry "Blackhorse Regiment."  He joined Local 150 International Union of Operating Engineers and later retired as a lifetime member in 2004. He married his wife, Susan, on April 15, 1994.  He enjoyed reading, trips with his wife and dogs to their cabin in the U.P., fishing, golfing, helping his trap-shooting team win trophies, and long drives "just to see what we can see." He was known and will be incredibly missed for his skills as Grill Master, Mr. Fix-It, and being quick of wit and ready with a joke. Most of all, he will be missed as a loving husband, wonderful dad and loyal friend.

Predeceased by his parents; brother Mike; and beloved dog Boogie

His family is respecting Tom's wishes to not hold a public memorial.  He insisted that "anyone who loves me will remember me".  His family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to OSF Cancer Center and OSF Hospice for their special care.  Memorials to Hoo Haven Animal Rehabilitation or Samaritans Purse.
