Theodore Schuler

December 31, 1969 — October 27, 2023

Theodore “Ted” Warner Schuler, 70, of Rockton IL, passed away peacefully on Monday October 23, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. Ted was born in Janesville, WI to Warner and Margaret (Rigney) Schuler on June 4, 1953. He attended Parker High School where he participated in many different sports. His team won the 1971 WIAA State Championship for boys’ basketball and was recently inducted into the Janesville Sports Hall of Fame for the 50th anniversary of their victory. After graduating from Parker in 1971 he went on to study business at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. He graduated in 1975 and began working in the automotive industry, kick-starting a 45-year career as a sales trainer. He traveled the world training businesses and later became a partner in Marcom Technologies. Ted’s talents included a love of all sports, of which he played many. He was an incredibly skilled handyman, always working on a project or opting into building or fixing something himself. He was a loyal Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, and Chicago Cubs fan. He enjoyed painting, bike riding, playing guitar, and spending time with his family and friends. He was very proud of his two sons and would talk about them every chance he got. Ted is survived by his loving wife Linda (Marchese) Schuler, his children Lucas (Liz) and Jacob Schuler, his siblings Mary Schuler, Rich Schuler, Beth (John) Eichman, and Barb (Gary) Cerny, his mother-in-law Frances Marchese, in laws Sue (Steve) Sondgeroth, Anne (Jim) Wegman, Chuck (Leanne) Marchese and an uncle, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and great nieces and nephews. Ted is preceded in death by his parents Warner and Margaret Schuler, his grandparents Lester and Gertrude Schuler and Farrell and Margaret Rigney, father-in-law Charles Marchese, brother-in-law Jim Marchese and other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A special thanks to St. Croix Hospice and the Rockton paramedics for their help and guidance in the last year. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
