Tabitha Houk

Tabitha Marie Houk, 37, of Rockford, passed away July 15, 2021 in Swedish American Hospital. Born December 13, 1983, in Oroville, CA; daughter of Michael and Shally (Hartman) Houk. Tabitha graduated from Portland Community College and Rockford Career College with a 4.0 grade average. She was a medical assistant at Crusader Clinic, where she was well respected and had earned the Employee of the Month. Tabitha was beautiful inside and out and would help anyone at the drop of a dime. What she did and how she did it had a major impact on the lives of those she served. She loved her children, her family, and more. She was well loved by her family and so many others. She will be missed. Survivors include her children Kyla and Jayden Houk; mother Shally Hartman; siblings Charles Houk, George (Reba Gowin) Houk, and Christina Samayoa; nephews William and Anthony Samayoa; nieces Sunshine Houk and Natahnee Edwards; grandma Patricia Honan; auntie Denise Stucky and family; and sister-in-law Debbie Edwards and her family. She is predeceased by her father Michael Houk; and stepfather Howard Warren. There will be a Celebration of Life 5 to 8 pm, Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 6230 East Drive Loves Park, IL 61111.
