Sylvia Marlow

Sylvia L. Marlow, 71, of Rockford, IL passed away due to illness on Saturday, April 8th, surrounded by family and friends. Sylvia was the oldest of 6 children, born on March 18th, 1952, to Carl and Joyce (Roof) Greer. She graduated from Harlem High School, class of 1970. Sylvia’s favorite things to do were crocheting, bowling, and spending time with family and friends. She will be remembered for her love of telling stories, remembering every detail and telling the best ones. She was an avid Chicago Bears fan, always requesting new Bears gear and wearing it proudly. Sylvia will be loved and missed every day. Survivors include brothers Gary Greer and Jimmy Greer, Sister, Laquita (Jeff) Wendel, Sons, Christopher Schultz (Michelle Burkhamer) and Brandon Schultz (Erin Kiefer.) Grandchildren Tonica Maney, Paris Burkhamer, Michael Eash and Blake KIefer. Great grandchildren Jackson Hobson and Asher Salberg as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Carl and Joyce Greer, brothers Ronald Greer and Carl Greer and husband, Robert Marlow. Celebration of Life will be held on May 20th from 3-6pm at St. Ambrogio Society. 802 Montague St., Rockford, IL 61102.
