Susan Drake

Susan Kay Drake, 59, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Swedish American Hospital after medical complications. Sue was born on September 22, 1961 to Gloria and Loren Olson in Viroqua, Wisconsin. Sue attended Harlem High School, graduating in 1979. Susan took pride in working for Mattison Machines as a secretary for 20 years. Sue later found joy in her job as a lunch aid. She was always bonding with the children and putting a smile on their faces. Sue was dedicated to spending time with her family and friends. She also loved fishing and watching “soap operas”. Sue was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, mother and sister. She will be deeply missed. Susan leaves behind her daughter, Nicole Swenson; father, Loren; siblings, Donna (Steve), Debbie, Vicki, and Richard; 3 nieces and 1 nephew; Ila Swenson. Sue was preceded in death by her significant other of 20 years, Gary Swenson; mother, Gloria. Due to health concerns, no services are scheduled at this time.
