Lifelong Illinois resident, Susan Fischer-Badillo, passed away on January 24, 2024, at the age of 57, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 16, 1966, where she lived for the majority of her life and raised her two loving children, David and Amber Badillo. Susan was always so full of life and loved spending time outdoors taking her summertime family trips to the beach or peacefully working in her home garden and listening to her favorite music, while always wearing one of her many big and fancy floppy hats.
In her life, Susan was a very hard working, kindhearted, and free-spirited woman who also loved spending every ounce of her time here on earth with her family, most of all with her loving grandchildren, Savannah, Armani, Aubryana, Elicea, Ashanti, and True Love, to whom she always referred to as her “Little Angels”.
She is preceded in death by her father Albert Fischer; her mother Kathleen Susan Fischer; and sister Sally Fischer.
In addition to her children and grandchildren, Susan is also lovingly survived by her sisters, Kathleen, Marie, and Laura; and brothers, Joseph, Donald, Jack, and Richard; along with many nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces whom she loved very dearly.
Susan was an amazing woman and outstanding daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many with her time given with us. Her kindness, courage, and compassion are not lost with her passing but will always be celebrated along with her memory.
A celebration of life will be held privately amongst her family at Susan’s request in the spring. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Susan G Komen Breast cancer organization. http://www.komen.org
