Suellen Jean Barrett, 62, of Rockford, passed away on April 19, 2026. She was born on November 21, 1963, the daughter of Eugene and Genevieve Barrett.
Suellen graduated from Taft High School in 1981. She worked as a mail woman for the Post Office for many years and was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed being in nature, whether it be bird watching, hiking, horseback riding, or scuba diving.
She is survived by her brothers Kevin and Keith Barrett; sister Vicky (Barrett) Connors; nieces and nephews; and a grand aunt.
A Celebration of Life will be held from Noon to 3 pm, on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Moretti’s Ristorante and Pizzeria, 6727 N. Olmstead Rd., Chicago, IL. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Audubon Society, www.audubon.org. Stateline Cremations is assisting the family, 6204 Forest Hills Rd., Loves Park, IL 61111. www.statelinecremations.com
