Steven Stanley

Steven Gordon Stanley was born September 14, 1960, in Rockford Illinois to Gordon and Iris (Anderson) Stanley. He passed away on October 2, 2021, in his home surrounded by his family. Steven graduated college from Colorado Art Institute in 1984 with a BA in Graphic Design. He was able to draw anything from cartoon characters to still life but had a passion for letters and being creative with the graphic design of signs. He had a love for music, especially "The Who" and Aerosmith. He enjoyed watching action movies and sports. His favorite teams were the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Cubs. Steven loved being around family and had a great sense of humor, he could come up with some unexpected one-liners that were hilarious. He was a mild mannered, kindhearted man that would generously help you even when he didn't have much for himself. He was loved and will be missed by all that knew him. Survived by siblings, Vicki Beckman, Kurt Stanley, Lester Stanley, Heidi Crawford (Adam), Todd Stanley (Dana) and Traci Stanley, along with many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by Parents Gordon and Iris (Anderson) Stanley, brother Glen Stanley, and nieces Raven Sanders and Sarah Stanley. There will be a memorial in the spring with family, planting a tree in his honor and sharing memories of our beloved brother and friend.
