Steven Benoit

Steven James Benoit, 57, of Machesney Park, passed away unexpectedly on May 5, 2021. Steven was born to Sue Cross and Kenneth Benoit on April 15, 1964 in Springfield, Massachusetts. Steven attended West Springfield High School and graduated in 1982. He also played Football throughout high school. Steven was awarded a scholarship for wrestling at Syracuse University. Steven enjoyed hunting, riding motorcycles, and cooking. ? Steven is survived by stepmother, Arlene Lapan; children, Steven Junior, Amber, Jamie, Anthony, Nicola, Dominic, Violet, step-son Steven Cameron, and step-son Jesse wolf; 9 grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth, Jamie, Randy, and Kevin; sisters, Candi and Nicole; mothers of his children, Nora Duncan, Tammy Benoit, Marcy Hecker, and Corrina Smith. Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Benoit and Sue Cross; Grandmother, Corrine Easton. A memorial service for Steven will take place Friday, June 11, 2021 at 2:00 P.M., with a visitation starting at 1:00 P.M., located at GPS Faith Community Church, 10714 North Second Street, Machesney Park, Illinois, 61115.
