Sheila Vayenas

August 19, 1945 — April 16, 2024

Sheila Vayenas, 78, of Rockford, passed away on April 17, 2024. She was born on August 19, 1945, in Chicago. Sheila was a classical singer and voice instructor for over 50 years. She was also a strong advocate for animals. Over her lifetime Sheila saved at least 10,000 animals, taking many of them into her own home. In her free time Sheila enjoyed shopping and going out to eat. Sheila believed in Jesus, our Lord and Savior, and her family knows they will see her again.

Sheila is survived by her sweetheart Tyrone King; stepchildren Tyrone (Natalie) King, Calvin (Cindy) King, and Christina (Ryan) Kiefer; 2 sisters; and friend Erin Jacobson. She is predeceased by her parents.
