Sandra K. Beck, 79, of Rockford went to her heavenly home on March 4, 2022, in River Bluff Nursing Home surrounded by her family. Born July 26, 1942, in Rockford, the daughter of Knox and Violet (Hiatt) Eatmon. On September 19, 1959, Sandra married the love of her life, Clarence M. Beck. Family and church were always the center of Sandra’s life. She was a member of Central Christian Church, where she was the librarian for more than 40 years. She was also involved with the choir and taking care of children in the nursery and Sunday school. Over the years, Sandra took many ladies under her wing and became their mentor. Sandra was one of the original members of the Gospel Belles, where she traveled and sang while spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ. She played the piano and the accordion and enjoyed camping with her family. Sandra loved her flower gardens and her garden flourished with her green thumb, especially the last 20 years. If Clarence couldn’t find her, he always knew he could find her attending her flowers. She also was a quilter and helped Clarence by painting his woodworking projects for him. Even with all these hobbies, Sandra’s focus was always on her family, and they always came first. Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years Clarence M. Beck; children Julie (Mark) Ross, Mary (James) Heckelsmiller, Leslie (Diane) Beck, and Brian (Christine) Beck; grandchildren Jennifer Kimberly, Jeffrey (Alexis) Kimberly, Janell Reyes, Jarrett (Casey) Kimberly, and Joel (Jessica) Kimberly, Carmela Cruz, Joseph Morris, Timothy (Amy) Morris, Jr., and William Morris, Noah (Morgan) Beck, Abigail (Michael) Lafferty, Elijah and Nathan Beck, Elizabeth, Isabelle, and Katelyn Beck; 20 great-grandchildren; sister Carolyn (Les) Dryden; and several nieces and nephews.
