Sally Schumacher

Sally J. (Ward) Davis Schumacher, 84, of Machesney Park, passed away September 19, 2023, after a long illness. She was born July 10, 1939, in Belvidere; the daughter of George and Valaura (Smith) Ward. Sally married Henry A.J. Schumacher on September 1, 1990. She would pass the time with adult coloring books, cross stitch, and playing games on her computer. She also loved to watch Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Sally and Henry enjoyed going camping and hosting big family events in their home. She was very family centered and loved to spend time with and watch her grandchildren. Sally was the garage sale queen and loved to play slot machines. Sally is survived by the love of her life Henry; children Wendy (Leroy) Knake, Brenda (Scott) Vance, James Scott Davis, Cindy Lee Davis, Robert (Bob) Davis, and Sandra (Scott) Smith; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandson Waylon; her dog Abby; brothers George (Sue) Ward, James (Linda) Ward, and Robert Ward; sisters Cathy (Greg) Lindholm and Susan (Robert) Morse; several nieces and nephews; and her special friends of 50 plus years Shirley Garcia, Cynthia, and Antonia. She is predeceased by her parents; sisters Sandra and Judith Ward; and her brother Dennis Ward.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, October 14, 2023, in Capron United Methodist Church, 250 W. North St. Capron, IL 61012 with a luncheon to follow. Burial at Oakland Cemetery in Woodstock following the service and luncheon at the church.
