Ryan Sharp

UPDATED SERVICE INFORMATION: Ryan Michael Sharp, 42, of Machesney Park, passed away unexpectedly on August 18, 2023, in his home. Born June 13, 1981, in Rockford IL. He graduated from Harlem High School in 2000. He worked for Woodward Governor as an operations tech.  Ryan was an avid Bears fan. He loved to watch movies, especially the Marvel movies. He loved to read, go to concerts, and had many collections. Ryan is survived by his mom and dad Tanny and Clark Thompson and Scott and Tammy Clark; honorary dad Lyle (Lori) Matthews; siblings Samantha Thompson, Scotty Clark, Jr., Stacy (Ryan) Lundberg, and Spencer Clark; several nieces and nephews; grandfather Lloyd Clark; aunts and uncles Travis (Vicki) Sharp, Kim (Mark) Grant, Robyn Sharp, Lisa (Pam Patton) Clark, Greg (Karen) Clark, Kyle (Tami) Clark, and Maura (Jared) Himes, Jim (Wanda) Sharp, Kathy Land Klingon, Sharon (Curt) Graham Doughty, and Diana Young; several cousins; great aunts and uncles; and best friends Kevin Hintz, Matthew Clark, and Erika Sharp. He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents James “Bill” and Peggy Sharp, paternal grandmother Maryann Clark, and aunt Patsy Bell. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Harneet Gahley for her exceptional treatment of Ryan that made these past two years possible and to Dr. Merat Esfahani and the staff at the Swedes Cancer Center for their care. A Celebration of Life will be at 2 pm, Saturday, September 16, 2023. at the Indian Rest Pavilion in the Hononegah Forest Preserve, Hononegah Rd.
