Ronald Allen Zick 67, passed away after a short illness on November 1, 2021. He was surrounded by his family as he left this earth to live in eternity with his heavenly father. A memorial service was held at Central Christian Church on Nov. 8. He is survived by his wife, Cindy and his children and grandchildren. They are: Josh and Linda(Kennedy) Zick, Ashley Hammerand, Bailey Hammerand, Benjamin Zick, and Matthew Zick. Kori Zick, Caleb and Carolyn (Glenny) Zick, Ernest Zick and Claudia Zick. He was born on December 12, 1953 to Donald E Zick and Dolores J (Lother) Zick. Dolores (aka Dee or Grandma Dee) is surviving as is his sister, Susan Swanson and Duane, Nancy Bedows and Steve. This includes 4 nieces and a nephew and their families as well as Cindy's family in the Shultz clan. He has worked as a farmer, excavator, in maintenance, and for the last 20 years worked for Barnes International in Rockford, IL. He loved working on fixing up his boat. His plan was to travel with Cindy after retirement. He was a long time member of Central Christian Church in Rockford, IL. He served many years as an elder and a Sunday School Teacher. He loved Jesus and knew the scriptures well.
