Robin Reams

Robin Annette Reams was born on September 18, 1957, in Indianapolis, Indiana to George William Chapman and Pauline (Cook) Chapman. She passed away at her home in Rockford, Illinois on August 7, 2023, at the age of 65. Robin is predeceased by her parents George and Pauline Chapman, her sister Linda Carol Gobble, and her brother George (Bill) William Chapman II. She is survived by her sisters (daughters in heart) Wendy Michelle Downing (Jay), Annetta Lynn Little (Clint) and her sister-in- law Karen Chapman. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: Raina Lynn Sherman, Lisa Dawn Gobble-Penilla, Rex Lee Gobble, Dia Kay McClanahan, George (Willie) William Chapman III, Sean Michael Chapman, Wade Alexander Little, Alisha Lee Downing, and Timothy (TJ) James Downing, her Aunt Shirley Whitt as well as many great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. Robin was a hardworking woman her entire life. She was not timid when it came to standing up for herself, but she was an easygoing person with a soft and giving heart. She preferred to stay in the background most times, giving help and care as needed and never asking for recognition. She loved her family, and she loved animals. Some of her favorite past times were spending time with family, Civil War history and visiting historic battlefields, listening to classic rock, watching a good horror flick (particularly zombies), and watching true crime shows.  Robin will be greatly missed by those of us she left behind who loved her, and she will be forever in our hearts. I’m sure Bill hosted a cookout in heaven, and she was welcomed home by family and her beloved pets, and she can finally kick back and just relax. A Memorial Service will be at 3 pm, Saturday, August 19, 2023, in Emmanuel Lutheran Church (in the chapel) at 920 3 rd Ave., Rockford, IL 61103.
