Roberta Ann Severson age 83, currently of South Beloit, IL, passed away on September 28, 2025.
Roberta "Bert" was born to Robert and Rosella Trotter on August 13, 1942, at Beloit Memorial Hospital. She graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1960.
She married Charles R. Severson of South Beloit on November 17, 1962.
Roberta loved being outdoors in warm weather, all her past pets (dogs, a turtle, and a duck), horses, and Arizona. She was a long-time employee of Electro Cam Corporation in Roscoe, IL before retiring.
She loved her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren at their Lake Camelot cabin in Rome, WI, at their home in Apache Junction, AZ, and taking her grandchildren on spring break vacations.
Roberta is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Rosella Trotter, her husband Charles and her brother Jeff. She is survived by her sister Carol (Bruce) Reavis, brothers Denny and Richard 'Dick"; children Steven (Cassandra) Severson, Lisa (Michael) Lindstrom, Timothy Severson; grandchildren Kelsea Severson, Colter (LaLa) Armstrong, Chloe (Bryan) Rothmaler, Luke Lindstrom; 2 great-grandchildren Ariya and Blair Rothmaler; and many in laws, nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Mercy Health System's palliative care, ER staff, and care teams for their care and services. Their care and attention were greatly appreciated.
And a very special thank you to Lincolnshire Place and Sanctuary Hospice. Their care and compassion were unmatched during this difficult time. We are very blessed to have had such support for all our needs. You will be missed by Roberta and family.
