Robert Whipple

June 14, 1933 — March 30, 2024

William “Robert” Louis Whipple, 90, of Rockton, IL, passed away in his home on March 30, 2024. He was born on June 14, 1933, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of William Louis and Mildred Fenwick (McNutt) Whipple. He graduated from Vashon High School and Washington University. He married Marva Jean Rogers on July 14, 1955, until her passing. Robert worked for General Motors and was a contractor.

He is survived by his children Judith Marita English, William “Bill” Whipple, and Partrick Alan Whipple; 3 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents; his wife Marva Whipple; and sisters Marie and Rita Whipple.

There will be a memorial service in Loves Park and St. Louis at a later date.
