Robert “Bob” J. Rowley, 71, of Loves Park, passed away peacefully Monday October 10, 2022, surrounded by his family. Bob was born in Joliet, IL and was a resident of the Joliet/Lockport area. He attended St. Joseph Grade School, Lockport Township High School, Joliet Junior College and SIUC. Bob was an electrician by trade. He was employed as an electrical foreman for Aetek in Plainfield for over 27yrs and later worked for several different companies including IST, Home Depot and Wal-Mart. Bob grew up in the Catholic Church. He then attended First Assembly of God Church in Joliet. He later moved to the Rockford area, where he attended City First Church and was most recently an active member of Rock Church. Bob lived for the outdoors and traveling. He mostly enjoyed camping and hiking. With his family and throughout his life he had been to almost every state in the U.S. There are many fond memories of the Wisconsin Dells, many State and National Parks such as Rock Cut State Park and the Great Smokey Mountains, along with cruises to Puerto Rico and the Caribbean Islands. Survived by his wife of 48 years, Pam (Mackley) Rowley, two daughters Shannon (Joe) and grandchildren Nadiya and Tyler Kruchten of Cortland, Sharon (John) and grandsons Andrew and Nathaniel Wiley of Joliet. His brothers John (Juanita) Rowley of FL. and Len (Jodie) Rowley of Joliet. His sister Karen (Chuck) Bednarczyk of MN. Numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents John and Thelma Rowley. A memorial service will be at 11 am, October 28, 2022, in Rock Church, 6732 Harrison Ave., Rockford, IL 61108.
