Robert T Meyer

Robert T. Meyer, 60, of Machesney Park, passed away, March 27, 2026, in his home unexpectedly. He was born on December 18, 1965, son of Larry and Barbara (Opsahl) Meyer, Jr. Robert graduated from Harlem High School in 1984. Most recently he was employed as an investor but before Essex closed, he worked for them for many years.

Robert was a presence. He loved to socialize and enjoyed going to parties. Robert was an excellent cook, and his specialty was making the perfect steak. He was a lifelong learner and enjoyed teaching his children all that he learned. His passion was the podcast that he hosted on conspiracy theories. He was also a Minnesota Vikings fan.

Survivors include his children Nicki Darnell, Jamie Quinn, Samantha (Matthew) Hippman, and Douglas Meyer; grandchildren Paige, Adriana, Brayella, and Iyla; great-grandson Jaxxon; siblings Mike (Kimberly) Meyer, Larry Meyer, Jr., Mark (Jennifer) Meyer, and Heather (Scott) Smith; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents and sons Robert Meyer, Jr., and Kenneth Meyer.
