Robert “Bob” Raymond Kruschka, of Byron, formerly of Salem, Missouri, passed away on June 21, 2022, in Generations at Neighbors Nursing Home. Born May 12, 1945, in Chicago; son of Bruno Kruschka and Connie Rafayko. Bob worked as a machinist. He was a member of the Sierra Club where he participated in many outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, and canoeing. He loved the outdoors. He even canoed in the Des Plaines River Marathon. He definitely had a green thumb and loved gardening. His yard in Salem was proof of his talent. Bob was car buff and enjoyed drag racing. He was also a Boy Scouts leader when he was younger. Survivors include his sister-in-law Joyce Kruschka; nieces Cheryl Vertucci and Christine Anderson; great nieces Stephanie Nagrodess, Heather Garrity, and Desiree Vertucci. He is predeceased by his parents; the love of his life for over 30 years, Rose Hawkins; and brothers John and Rick Kruschka.
