Robert Johnson

Robert “Bob” J. Johnson, 66, of Rockford, passed away on January 26, 2022. Born in Albert Lea, Minnesota; son of Wallace and Stella Johnson. Bob had many hobbies which ranged from spending time with his large family to playing his heart out on his guitar. He was passionate about his relationship with his Lord and Savior and would share that news with anyone he met. Bob’s laughter was infectious, and he loved to tell jokes and get others to join in on his laughter. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his siblings Richard (Sally), Bonnie (Gary) Swanson, John (Skip) Klava, Linda (Gordon) Nesse, Bill (Terri); his children Robert Johnson, II, Jesstine (Matthew) Johnson, and Andrew Johnson; grandchildren Adrianna, Robert III “Tre”, Desmon, Gavin, Grant, Elijah, and Elsie; many nieces and great nieces and nephew. He was predeceased by his parents Wallace and Stella, and brother Jimmy. A Memorial Service will be at 3 pm, Saturday, February 5, 2022, in Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL 61111, with a visitation at 2 pm until time of service. Later, when the weather is nicer there will be a Celebration of Life in honor of Bob, and we will update you when that has been planned.
