Robert Earl Crenshaw III, 53, of Rockford, IL passed away unexpectedly in his home in late September. "Bobby" was born to Gail (Nielsen) Crenshaw and Robert Crenshaw, Jr, on June 24, 1972, in Rockford.
When he could, Bobby enjoyed finding himself staying active: shooting golf – whether that was traditional or with discs – or taking a swim at the local YMCA. Bobby could find himself in social environments with friends and family by playing pool, shooting darts, playing video poker machines, all the while cracking jokes and spreading his unique sense of humor.
Bobby lived on his own terms. He could be spontaneous and unruly at times, but his heart and compassion were forces to be reckoned with; earning his trust would earn his immense loyalty.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents Gail and Robert Crenshaw Jr., stepmother Julie (Smith) Crenshaw, stepbrother Christopher Parker, and sister Lesa Fenton. He is survived by brothers Mike (Tracy) and Frank Fenton, Jason Crenshaw, and numerous loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A special thank you to Sean Ferguson for helping with Bobby's final affairs.
A private Celebration of Life will be held amongst family and friends. Stateline Cremations is assisting the family, 6204 Forest Hills Rd, Loves Park, IL 61111. www.statelinecremations.com
