Robert Dawson

Robert “Bob” E. Dawson, 72, of Belvidere, passed away in his home on February 11, 2022. He was born on August 21, 1949, in Belvidere, the son of Robert B. and Mary Ann (Fencl) Dawson. Bob worked for many years delivering propane for Hick’s Gas. He enjoyed his vegetable garden, collecting things and sharing his knowledge of his collections. He was a hard worker and instilled that in his children. Survivors include his children Victoria Martinez and Jeff (Cathy) Dawson; grandchildren Jesus Martinez, Tyler, Trever, and Lillian Dawson; mother Mary Ann Dawson; siblings Betty (Horst) Ollnau, Bess (Mike) Haan, Janet (Kevin) Hale, and Warren Dawson; and several nieces and nephews.
