Robert Collins

Robert G. Collins, Jr., 28, of Loves Park, passed away on September 7, 2023, in his home. Born February 25, 1995, in Peru, IN, the son of Robert G. Collins, Sr. and Carla J. (Slatton) Collins. Robert graduated from Harlem High School in 2013 and then served in the US Navy for 7 years. He was working at the front desk of Peak Fitness and attending Rock Valley College. Robert enjoyed playing fantasy football and was a Bears fan. He also enjoyed playing video games. Robert was a caring person and was very helpful to anyone that needed it. Robert is survived by his parents Robert G. Collins, Sr. and Carla J. Collins; sister Ashley (Kyle) Dusing and their son Teddy “Little Man” Dusing; maternal grandmother Charlene Slatton; aunts Tish (Debra DeVlieger) Slatton, Bonnie (Bob) Johnson, and Sue Flores; uncle Bill Collins; many cousins; and special friends Kylee Cameron and Blake Klinger. He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents William and Marilyn Collins; maternal grandfather William Slatton; and his aunt Pam Traeger.
