Robert E. Coleman

Robert Edward Coleman, 51, of Belvidere, passed away suddenly on September 20, 2026, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. He was born on August 6, 1975, the son of Robert Coleman and Lynette (Wych) Coleman.

Robert graduated from Belvidere High School in 1993. He worked as a machinist, and then in shipping and receiving at Curtis Metal for many years. He enjoyed fishing and going to concerts, especially Country Thunder. He was interested in magic, a horror movie enthusiast, and getting tattoos.

Survivors include his mother Lynette Coleman; father Robert (Sue) Coleman; children Ariel Coleman, Carrie Coleman, and Austin Chilson; grandchildren Milo Baker, Charles Love, and Jocilyn Puskas; bonus daughter Brooke Gille (Renier) and her children; ex wife Rebecca Smith; and lots of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He is predeceased by his grandparents; his best friend and brother Matthew Coleman; uncle Kenny Coleman; aunt Tina Wych; and Papa Mando.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 3 pm, Sunday, September 27, 2026, at the Grange Hall, Belvidere Fairgrounds, 8847 IL Rt. 76, Belvidere, IL 61008. Stateline Cremations is assisting the family, 6204 Forest Hills Rd., Loves Park, IL 61111.
