Richard A. “Ricky” Watson, 64, of Rockford, passed away unexpectedly on November 21, 2024. He was born on August 23, 1960, in Rockford, the son of Harold A. and Barbara L. (Graham) Watson. Ricky graduated from East High School in 1978. He was an industrial welder for Ingersoll and Comet Fabricating & Welding. He was an avid race fan; both drag races and NASCAR. Ricky was well liked and will be missed.

He is survived by his father Harold and stepmom Bonnie Watson; brother Randal Watson; niece Sondra Watson of California; nephew Graham Watson of Rockford; half-sister Carrie (Andrew) Robinson and nieces Andi, Kendall, and Albee Hiller; also survived by stepsiblings Wendy (Dallas) Turner, Keith (Amy) Watson; aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many friends. He is predeceased by his mother Barbara (Graham) Watson; and sister Cathy Watson.
