Richard Thorsbakken

Richard Thorsbakken, 42, of Rockford died unexpectedly at home on October 9, 2023. Richard was born in Rockford on October 30, 1980, to Leonard and Anita (Fields) Thorsbakken. Richard graduated from Page Park School in 2001. Richard was a huge Freddy Krueger fan and loved to watch wrestling, especially the wrestler Sting. Richard brought a smile to everyone’s face that he met. Richard is survived by his father Leonard Thorsbakken III; brother Leonard Thorsbakken IV; very special cousin but more like a sister Lillian Fields; nephew Branden (Desiree) Elmer; great nieces Britnee and Luna; great nephews Gabriel, Paxton, Alister, and Jeremiah; numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles. Predeceased by his mother Anita; brother Jeremy; sister Robin; maternal and paternal grandparents; aunts Alta Deary and Robin (Butch) Pruitt; and uncle Duane “Smitty” Schmidt.
