Richard Jacobson

December 31, 1969 — September 19, 2025

Richard E. Jacobson, 94, of Rockford, passed away in his home on September 19, 2025, at 3:51 pm. He was born on March 16, 1931, in Eldorado, Iowa. The son of Elmer and Iola (Stewart) Jacobson. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Richard was a veteran and served in the US Army. He loved to be on the river fishing and boating. He enjoyed traveling, camping and bonfires. He also was a rascal on his golfcart. He loved to go around the neighborhood checking things out and visiting the neighbors.

Survivors include his children Vicki Sullens, Darlene Kenney, Richard Jacobson, Jr., David Jacobson, Kenny (Candy) Jacobson, Cindy Butcher, Cathy (Tim) Ludwick, Marcy (Paul) McKibben, and Tom Argue; many grandchildren; and many more great-grandchildren; siblings Linda Archie, Lila Miller, Joyce (Denny) Henderson, Bob (Char) Jacobson, and Dorothy (Kevin) Ferden; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents; his beloved wife Doris; and several siblings.
