Richard Hage

Richard A. Hage Sr., 79, of Harvard, Illinois, passed away surrounded by his family in his home on Tuesday, August 24, 2022. Richard was born on September 15, 1942, to Alice and Ernest Hage in Sandwich, Illinois. He went on to attend and graduate from Harvard High School. From there he went on to work for Admiral Corporation in Harvard as a Chief Union Steward until the business closed. While working at Admiral Corporation, and beyond his years there, he was a farmer- managing both dairy and cattle farming. In 1972, Richard married Elizabeth Schneider at Trinity Lutheran Church in Harvard, where he continued to be a member.   Richard was very invested in his farming work, making it not only a job, but a hobby of his. He enjoyed going up north to fish and snowmobile. He and Elizabeth enjoyed taking road trips together and site-seeing. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.  He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; children, Richard (Frankie) Hage Jr., Mark (Suzi) Hage, and Lisa Hage; grandchildren, Logan, Kirsten, Tara, Trevor, and Savannah; brother, Jerry (Carla)Hage; step-sister, Debbie.  Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Alice and Ernest “Ernie”.
A celebration of life for Richard will take place Saturday, September 17, 2022, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Lions Park in Harvard, Illinois. Stateline Cremations is assisting the family, 712 Windsor Road, Loves Park, IL 61111.
