Richard Drahn

Richard Michael Drahn, 75, of Machesney Park, passed away in his home surrounded by his family on March 20, 2021. Born December 1, 1945 in Boise, Idaho; son of Auburn W. and Colleen O. (Townsend) Drahn. Richard served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict and earned a Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. He married Rosemarie (DiPrima) Graceffa on July 4, 1990. Richard was an avid pool player and was a member of many leagues over the years. He took pride in his yard work and enjoyed watching the hummingbirds. He also liked to spend time with is wife Rosie and fur buddy Rocky. He is survived by his loving wife Rosie; daughter Sonia (Brad) Hoglund; stepson Sam (Crystal) Graceffa; stepdaughter Vitina (Mo) Graceffa; grandchildren Scott and Shawn Hoglund, Justin (Julia) Graceffa, Santina Graceffa, Vito Kuelling, and Giovanni Graceffa; and sister Darlene (Robert) Johnson. He is predeceased by his parents; sister Jackie Oakes; and brother Allan Drahn. The Drahn family would like to extend a special thank you to Swedish American Cancer Center, Serenity Hospice and Home including CJ and Brittany, and Dr. Kalweit and Dr. Gahley with palliative care.
