Randolph Lenz

August 21, 1961 — November 29, 2024

Randolph “Randy” T. Lenz, 63, of Loves Park, passed away on November 29, 2024. He was born on August 21, 1961, in Rockford, IL, the son of Jack Henry Lenz and Mary (Pliess) Grande. Randy was a contractor for several years. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, the Miami Dolphins, and enjoyed watching NASCAR and rooting for Chase Elliot. Randy could be found in his garage enjoying his music, so much so that his neighbors gifted him a stereo to enjoy his music even more. He would repeatedly enjoy listening to the same artist, but he enjoyed all types of music, including Elvis, Adele and Cher to name a few. Randy enjoyed talking to his neighbors, from as simple as “Hello” to “Have a good day”; he was a friendly person who like making people laugh. He didn’t just talk to anyone and everyone, but he would go out of his way to help others, he would try to find ways to help them when they needed it. Randy was a helpful, caring person he even gave his mailman his very own hat when the mailman mentioned he liked Randy’s hat.

His survivors include his mother Mary (Pliess) Grande; his fiancée Kelly Lux of 9 years; siblings John (Teri) Lenz; Mike (Terri) Lenz and Chad (Candy) Lenz; his aunt Rose Drahn; his fur babies Remy and Sammy Jo, and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to his neighbors Dan (Denise) Smith and Craig (Sue) Vasseur. He is preceded by his father Jack Henry Lenz; his stepfather Lee Grande; Grandma DiPrima; Uncle Bill; Aunt Fran and his nephew “Bobby” Lenz;

A Celebration of Life will be announced later. Stateline Cremations is assisting the family, 6204 Forest Hills Rd., Loves Park, IL 61111. www.statelinecremations.com
