Randal “Randy” Taylor Moseley, 71, of Dekalb, IL, passed away peacefully in his home on November 21, 2023, surrounded by his family. Randy was born on October 9, 1952, in Dallas, TX to Wolford and Onnie Moseley. He married Sandra “Sandy” Fortner in 1973. They were happily married for over 50 years and had one son.
Randy graduated from North Texas State University in 1975 and received a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix in 1993. He retired from 3M Company in 2008 after 30 years of service. After retirement his interests included golfing, woodworking, football games with his son, and gardening. He became a Master Gardener, was very involved in local projects, and won a State Award for maintaining the garden area at a local nursing home. Randy was also involved with Habitat for Humanity and helped build homes in several states. As a Master Woodworker, he donated many of his projects to local companies for fundraising. Although Randy stayed busy with projects, he always made time to spend with the most important thing to him, which was his family.
Randy is survived by his wife Sandy, son Wesley (Christina), grandchildren Natalie and Adam, and sister Connie (Sammy) Moseley Splann of Nacogdoches, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents Wolford T. and Onnie E. Moseley.
