UPDATED SERVICE INFORMATION: Perry Shippy, 65, lifelong resident of Pecatonica passed away on February 26, 2023 with his children by his side. He was employed as a forklift mechanic by Equipment Depot for the past 30 years. Prior to being a forklift mechanic, he worked at Rock Ford Tractor in Pecatonica.
Perry was involved with the Pecatonica Fire Department, Planning Commission, township, and Winnebago County Fair board throughout the years. He was an avid antique tractor enthusiast.
Perry is survived by his two children Miranda (David) Schulenberg and Dallas (Amanda) Shippy and his loving pets Tucker and Tanner. He was a proud grandfather to Mason and Valerie Schulenberg and Kylie and Natalie Shippy. Siblings include Nancy (Randall) Kleindl, Norine (Robert) Ehrler, Tammy (Eric) Sager, and brother-in-law Russell Lestikow; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, stepfather Verald Sigafus, and sister Norma Lestikow. In lieu of flowers or gifts, any donations can be made to the Swedish American Regional Cancer Center or Friends Forever Animal Shelter. A private burial for the family will be held at Twelvemile Grove Cemetery.
