Paul Kenneth Thompson, 69, of Loves Park, passed away on January 18, 2024, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. He was born on November 18, 1954, in Rockford, IL; the son of Paul and Vera (Murphy) Thompson. Paul graduated from Harlem High School in 1971 and married Ada M. Pingel on September 9, 1978. He worked as a quality control manager for Parker Hannifin for many years. He was baptized at North Baptist Church. Paul enjoyed spending time at Rascal’s Bar and Grill and playing the slot machines and scratch-offs. He was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Chicago Cubs.
Survivors include his loving wife Ada; daughters Aaryn Thompson and Corrie (Eric) Asbury; grandson Silas Asbury; siblings Sue (Jim) Foss, Pat (Bill) Reuber, and Don Thompson; several nieces and nephews; and his dog Cinder. He is predeceased by his parents; aunts and uncles; and his dogs Molly and Maxi; cat Gomez “Fat Boy”; and several Puggies.
