Paul D Terrance, 69, of Belvidere, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 14 th , 2023. He was born on May 31 st , 1954, in Detroit, MI. Paul married the love of his life, Nancy Terrance, on November 23 rd , 1996. He retired from Gander Mountain Corporation, where he was well known and adored by co-workers and the community for many years.
There was nothing Paul enjoyed more than spending time with his family. He cherished every moment with them whether it was fishing, playing Pokémon Go, attending events/games for his grandkids, or simply sharing a meal together – it meant the world to him. Paul had a great sense of humor. He loved brightening your day by bringing a smile to your face. His quirky jokes, wrapping paper challenges, and creating silly games to play at holiday times brought joy and laughter to all. Paul was a loyal fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. In his spare time, he loved doing puzzles, creating things on the computer, and fishing. He also enjoyed ball games, Mary Poppins, and westerns. He may be gone but will never be forgotten, as his memory will live on in our hearts forever.
Paul is survived by his children, Bill (Vicki) Pekara, Amy (Scott) Lueder, Melissa (Greg) Oclon; his grandchildren, Devin, Dylan and Brittany Pekara, Emily and Sarah Lueder, Makayla, and Carter Oclon; his great grandchild, Eli Calhoun; his sister, Mary Sue Terrance; his sister-in-law Marsha (Jerry) Tucker; his brother-in-law James Holt and Randy (Nancy) Holt and many nieces and nephews.
Paul is preceded in death by his loving wife, Nancy Terrance; his parents, Elizabeth and Daniel Terrance; his brother, Terry Terrance; his mother-in-law, Laverne Holt; his father-in-law, Marshall Holt; his sister-in-law, Karen Race; his brother-in-law, James Race; and his nephew, Phillip Tucker.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 19 th , 2023, from 1:00-4:00 pm at Lindy’s Landing 115 Park St., Wauconda IL 60084. Stateline Cremations is assisting the family, 6204 Forest Hills Rd., Loves Park. www.statelinecremations.com
