Patrick Sanders

Patrick Sanders, age 64, of Rockford, Illinois passed away February 9 th at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center. He was born June 18 th , 1958, in Elmhurst, Illinois to John and Joan (Sveinsson) Sanders. He married Mary Militello, February 14 th , 1982, and together, they had three daughters.
Patrick grew up in Rockford, IL where he attended East High School. He lived in Rockford for most of his life where he enjoyed taking care of the lawn, working on motorcycles, his usual breakfast at Johnny Pamcakes, and riding his scooter around town making stops to see family and friends.
He is survived by Mary Militello-Sanders, his three daughters Kelly (Joe) Sanchez, Andrea Sanders, and Greta Sanders; grandchildren, Emma and Gianna Sanchez and Penelope and Grey Moir; siblings, Pam (Rich) Ianni, Mark Sanders, and Amy (Alex) Szymanski; brother-in-law, Ron Rudolph; sister in law, Billie Sanders; brother in law Matt (Sheryl) Militello, Joe Militello, and Nick Militello; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Predeceased by his parents; brothers, Richard, and William; sisters, Peggy and Polly; in-laws, Frank and Betty Militello. We would like to make a special mention of lifelong friend Nick Militello, his primary care provider, Dr. Lucietto-Sieradzki and staff, OSF Center for Cancer Care, and the OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center staff.
