Patricia Ruggiero

Patricia “Patti” M. Ruggiero, 63, of Rockford, died October 7, 2019 in Javon Bea Hospital, Rockton Campus. Born October 8, 1955 in Evanston, IL; daughter of Harold and Eileen (Kolodzik) Fields. Patti worked in the kitchen and laundry at Asta Care Nursing Home and was a teacher’s aide at Ellis Arts Academy. She was known for her famous “Patticakes” and everyone called her “TT Patti”. She enjoyed painting, coloring, watching HGTV, and was an avid reader. She loved kids and touched many lives over the years. She was a free spirit and fun loving. The family would like to extend a special thank you to everyone who touched Patti’s life over the years. Survivors include her son Donny (Julee) Westlie; grandchildren Randy, Ashlee, and Kayla; great-grandchildren Evan, Colton, and Bennett; and brother Taum Fields; special relatives Quanda & Carl Marks, Ruel Marks, Craig and Latisha Marks, Keasha Bryant, Kahlia Bryant, Craig Jr. “CJ”, and Pinky, Lateshia Burrell, and her children De’Tayvon, Demario, Kenya, Lyntina, and Nevaeh Burrell.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and sisters Carol Thonn and Antoinette “Toni” Knodel. A private Celebration of Life will be at a later date. Stateline Cremations is assisting the family, 7307 N. Alpine Rd, Loves Park.
