Patricia Albrecht

Patricia Laine Albrecht, 80, passed away peacefully from complications of Parkinson’s Disease on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Medina Nursing Home in Durand, Illinois. Patricia was born on May 1, 1940 in Beloit, Wisconsin to Harriet and Johnnie Smith. Patricia attended Medina High School (now known as Durand High School), graduating in the class of 1958. Patricia was affiliated with Durand United Methodist Church. Patricia is survived by her children, Lisa Ingram, Julie (Doug) Hodgdon, David (Michele) Matranga; grandchildren, Christina King, Alexandrea Ingram, Luke Paluzzi, Sarah Paluzzi, Ava Matranga, Michael Hodgdon, Jacob Hodgdon; sisters, Sue (Bob) Ballard, Betty (Randy) Rhyner; brother, John (Krisan) Smith; numerous nieces and nephews. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Judy Osborne, Kathy Scheck, Laurie Smith. Patricia’s family would like to extend their gratitude for the loving staff at Medina Nursing Home and OSF Hospice for their support and care. A private graveside service will be conducted at Durand Cemetery in Durand, Illinois on April 10, 2021 with Pastor Brenda officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family, where a donation in Patricia’s honor will be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
